59 -- RedEagle KG-240

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is HSHQDC-07-Q-00043 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). A list of contract line item number(s) and items and quantities is as follows: CLIN 0001, Redeagle KG-240, quantity of eight (8). The contractor shall deliver the items within 30 days after receipt of award to the Department of Homeland Security, Bluemont, VA 20135. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-14. The following provisions apply: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition (no addenda); 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, (a) technically acceptable, low price; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items. A completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, should be submitted with the quote. The purchase of eight (8) Redeagle KG-240, certified by the NSA, will be used on an existing DHS secure network to provide network encryption capability, and to serve as spares for other Redeagle KG-240 equipment currently in use by the agency.
