SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Amplifier 1-2.5GHz, 2000Watt This is only a sources sought announcement and is not an intent to procure. A solicitation is not available at this time and any requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The U.S. Army White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) Electromagnetic Radiation Effects (EMRE) facility is conducting market research to determine the capability of businesses to provide an amplifier which will be used for testing purposes. Each potential vendor is requested to provide the contract number(s), dollar value(s) and brief description of work previously or currently being performed, which specifically demonstrates the contractor's ability to successfully satisfy the requirements listed below. The vendor shall build an amplifier capable of a frequency range of 1 to 2.5 GHz bandwidth with an output power minimum of 2000 watts (W) at 1dB compression across frequency band. Requirements: Condition new Operating Voltage: 208 VAC Operating Current: 30 to 60 amps Input signal level: up to 0dBm Input signal modulation: CW, AM, FM, PM Output signal level: 2000 watts minimum at 1dB compression across frequency band and 4000 watts maximum. RF input connector: N-type female on system's rear panel. RF output connector: Type 1-5/8 quote mark EIA on system's rear panel. Power sample ports: Forward and reflected sample ports, with N-type female connectors, on system's rear panel. Gain flatness: No more than +/- 8 dB. Control Interface: GPIB, with IEEE-488 female connector on system's rear panel. Size: Standard cabinet would measure 56 (W) x 160 (H) x 82.3 (D) cm and not more than 4 cabinets for whole system. Thus, maximum size for 4 cabinets to fit in existing location is 224 (W) x 160 (H) x 82.3 (D) cm. Cooling: Forced air via fans, internal to system. Mismatch protection: Must contain output power foldback protection to prevent damage to the system from high reflected power. Harmonic distortion: All harmonics to the 5th harmonic must not be greater than -20 dBc. All responses to this sources sought are limited to twelve pages and must include the following additional information: Business Name:__________________________ Business Size:___________________________ Point of Contact: _________________________ Phone Number: _________________________ Address: ______________________________ Cage Code: _____________________________ Interested sources shall submit all replies by email to contact@example.gov no later than 1300 MST on 7 April 2014.
