This is a presolicitation notice. The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), Battlefield Airmen Squadron (670th AESS) intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to GTSI to provide six (6) Panasonic CF-19 Toughbooks and associated 1GB memory. AFSOC Combat Controllers (CCT) use the Panasonic ToughBook to conduct mission planning and execution. Hundreds of these systems are already fielded and are known to be compatible with the software and other equipment used to conduct the CCT mission. The government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contractual action has an expected period of performance of 60 days.
