60--INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13.106-1(b)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement; unique supplies or services available from only one source one supplier with unique capabilities at White Sands Missile Range, NM. This requirement is for the purchase of 28 six channel EZ-mate plugs to SC 9/125 assembly using MIL cable OC00001359 30 foot in length. The equipment is proprietary and is compatible with the existing equipment operated by the Data Science Directorate and used throughout WSMR. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement prior to September7, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. MST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future procurements competitively. White Sands Missile Range Contracting Command intends to make an award to Applied Optical Systems,1700 Capital Avenue, Suite 50, Plano, TX 750774.
