This contract involves the repair of five power supply units (NSN 7GH 6130 016011153) for the U.S. Navy, with a total quantity of six units specified in the amended solicitation. The work is designated as a sole-source repair, as the Navy lacks the technical data necessary for repairs and only approved in-service engineering activity (ISEA) certified sources can be considered. The repair process requires government-source inspection and acceptance, with detailed instructions for pricing, turnaround time, throughput constraints, and packaging. Contractors must submit firm-fixed or not-to-exceed pricing, along with other technical and logistical details, and the quote must be valid for eight months. The contract emphasizes strict compliance with applicable standards, proper marking, and documentation, with the goal of ensuring the repaired units meet operational requirements. The solicitation was extended to allow more time for responses, with the response deadline set for December 9, 2024, and the award process managed by the Naval Surface Warfare Systems Support office in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Request for Information: Additive Manufacturing
Solicitation # N0010427RZ058
The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support is conducting market research through Request for Information N0010427RZ058 to identify qualified sources capable of designing, producing, and delivering piece part components or entire assemblies using additive manufacturing methods. The government is specifically interested in vendors who can meet rigorous manufacturing, material, performance, testing, and quality assurance requirements. While the current focus is on a candidate list of National Item Identification Numbers for valves, actuators, and manifolds, the government anticipates that Level I and SUBSAFE items may become eligible for additive manufacturing in the future. Interested businesses must provide detailed administrative data, descriptions of their manufacturing capabilities, facility certifications such as ISO 9001 or AS9100, and evidence of past performance with similar military or commercial hardware. Additionally, the government is soliciting industry feedback on the development of objective evaluation criteria and the structuring of performance-based incentives for future Firm-Fixed-Price contracts. All produced components must be fully interchangeable with traditionally manufactured equivalents and strictly adhere to the baselines established in Project Peculiar Document 802-8436658. Responses are due by October 22, 2026.
