The Department of Defense intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Raytheon Company for the repair of 13 power supply units, Part No.: 2898032-17, valued at 13 each, with delivery FOB origin. This procurement is based on the unique requirements of the power supplies, which necessitate specialized test and inspection facilities to ensure ultra-precision quality and system integrity, making competitive sourcing impractical. The government has determined that acquiring the parts through other sources or reverse engineering would be uneconomical due to lack of data rights and the specialized nature of the components. Interested parties may submit capability statements or proposals within 45 days of the notice, but the government reserves sole discretion to decide whether to proceed with competition or sole-source negotiations. The contract is being pursued under FAR 6.302-1, which allows for limited competition due to the unique technical and inspection requirements. Relevant technical and standardization documents, such as military specifications and qualified product lists, can be obtained from the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) or through online resources like ASSIST-Online. The procurement is managed by the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with contact information provided for further inquiries. The government emphasizes that this notice is not a solicitation but an intent to negotiate exclusively with Raytheon, given the specialized nature of the parts and the lack of available data rights.

Request for Information: Additive Manufacturing
Solicitation # N0010427RZ058
The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support is conducting market research through Request for Information N0010427RZ058 to identify qualified sources capable of designing, producing, and delivering piece part components or entire assemblies using additive manufacturing methods. The government is specifically interested in vendors who can meet rigorous manufacturing, material, performance, testing, and quality assurance requirements. While the current focus is on a candidate list of National Item Identification Numbers for valves, actuators, and manifolds, the government anticipates that Level I and SUBSAFE items may become eligible for additive manufacturing in the future. Interested businesses must provide detailed administrative data, descriptions of their manufacturing capabilities, facility certifications such as ISO 9001 or AS9100, and evidence of past performance with similar military or commercial hardware. Additionally, the government is soliciting industry feedback on the development of objective evaluation criteria and the structuring of performance-based incentives for future Firm-Fixed-Price contracts. All produced components must be fully interchangeable with traditionally manufactured equivalents and strictly adhere to the baselines established in Project Peculiar Document 802-8436658. Responses are due by October 22, 2026.
