This contract, issued by the Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mech, is for the procurement of three VMEBUS power supplies under NSN 7H-6120-014785600 and reference number 5D89714G01. The delivery terms are established as FOB Origin. Due to the specialized nature of the part, engineering source approval from the design control activity is mandatory to ensure quality. The government intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 because the approved sources possess unique design capabilities, manufacturing knowledge, and data rights that are not economically available to the government. Any alternate source seeking to provide these parts must undergo a qualification process approved by the cognizant government engineering activity. While the government is not utilizing FAR Part 12 for commercial items, interested parties may submit capability statements or proposals within a specified timeframe for consideration. Technical specifications and standardized documents are available through the DoD Single Stock Point or the ASSIST-Online portal, though specific patterns and drawings are not stocked at the DODSSP.
