California Resources Elk Hills, LLC is proposing to rework an existing oil and gas well, identified as API 0403066627 (Well Name 87E-28S), located in the Elk Hills Oil Field in Kern County, California. The project involves the sidetrack or replacement of the existing wellbore to recover lost production. This work is categorized as repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of a previously permitted well, with no expansion of former use. The scope includes remedial, maintenance, conversion, and abandonment work, all of which will be conducted on an existing pad within an industrial area to ensure no disturbance of undisturbed land.
