63 -- Notice of intent to Sole Source X-Ray system repair parts

This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole-source purchase order for repair parts under authority of FAR 6.302-1 to American Science and Engineering (AS&E). AS&E is the manufacturer of the access control X-Ray equipment and is the only known source of the parts. This is a 100% small business set-aside. Display Board-11505-0094, X-Ray Control Board-219-2009-6, Control Unit Board-219-2033-1, Data Acquisition Board-233-2007-1, and System Logic Board-233-2003-1. These parts are commercial items IAW FAR Part 2 and are to be purchased under the simplified acquisition test program in FAR Part 13.5. The above named vendor is believed to be the only source of AS&E parts. This is not a request for quotation or proposal. Any firm challenging the sole source award of this purchase order must submit their response to the contract specialist via email NLT May 28, 2002.. Award will be made on May 29, 2002 if no response is received.
