63--Spare Parts for Boomerang Acoustic Gunfire Detection System

This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice identifying an upcoming requirement to identify sources for Boomerang Acoustic Gunfire Detection System spare parts. This is a brand-name or equal effort for spare parts to be used as replacements on existing Boomerang Acoustic Gunfire Detection Systems. This synopsis is intended to notify potential offerors of an upcoming solicitation which will serve to identify contractors that have the technology, capability, and familiarity with the Boomerang Acoustic Gunfire Detection systems. The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Contracting Center intends to release request for proposal W91CRB-10-R-0028 on or about 01 MAR 2010 for procurement of Acoustic Gunfire Detection Systems spare parts. There will be no actual systems or services required under this effort, it will solely be for spare parts for the Boomerang systems. The solicitation will result in award of one (1) Firm-Fixed Price contract for spares with the possibility of optional additional quantities. The official release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on the internet at the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) web site located at the following address: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/default.cfm. The on-line version of the RFP will include all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of this RFP will be issued. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including amendments, should be received and reviewed prior to submitting a response. It is the responsibility of those responding to the solicitation to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents.
