The Department of Veterans Affairs, through its VISN 7 Regional Procurement Office East, has issued a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought notice to identify potential qualified suppliers capable of providing a stereotaxic instrument for mice. This equipment, intended for the VA Birmingham Healthcare System, must meet specific requirements including a footprint of 25cm by 25cm, compatibility with gas anesthesia, manual and digital resolution specifications, extensive vertical and horizontal rotation ranges, adjustable ear and tooth bar heights for small animals, multiple head holders, a triple lead screw manipulator arm for fast positioning, and dual arm capability. Interested parties are encouraged to submit detailed information regarding their company status—such as small business or veteran-owned classifications—their role as manufacturer or distributor, any modifications made to the product, subcontracting plans, applicable federal contract holdings, and general pricing for market research purposes. Clear evidence demonstrating that the proposed products meet the stated performance criteria is required. Respondents must provide their capabilities, any suggestions pertaining to the specifications, and their DUNS number by the stated deadline.
