Te 10th Mission Support Group, Directorate of Contracting, United States Air Force Academy Colorado, is seeking sources to establish a Blanket Purchase Agreement commercial purchase order through Acumed LLC. All items are sole source specific; Acumed implantable plates and screws are commercial products which are identified by the manufacturers item descriptions and part numbers and conform to the manufacturer?s commercial specifications. The Government has determined that for selected cases, the use of Acumed, implants provide the most favorable outcome for specific patients. The determination to use Acumed implants for selected implant cases was made by the United States Air Force Academy, 10th Medical Group, medical/surgical staff. Procedures requiring these task in using Acumed supplies include wrist hand and upper extremity reconstruction surgeries. Procedurally, each system operational task is governed by the patient age, anatomy, and which anatomical system is to be used to provide the best out-come for the patient. Ordering shall be from the incumbent's price list. Each items ordered shall be determined by Government needs. Substitutions will not be considered. The purpose for this sole source acquisition is to provide a more user friendly, easy to maintain, and highly technological surgical instrument at the discursion of the on staff surgeons. Acumed instruments system has proved to be capable of meeting the needs of the operating staff criteria and patient ease of use requirements. Acumed is the only sole source that can satisfy the governments requirements. It is the responsibility of each offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, updates or changes to current information. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. Any company that feels they have items that meet the needs of the Government must submit their technical data to support their claim. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. Offers must be received NLT 3:00 PM Mountain Standard Time, 18 Sept 2006, at 10th MSG/LGCB, Operational Contracting Office, 8110 Industrial Drive, Suite 200, USAF Academy, CO 80840-2315. Offers received after this date and time will be considered late in accordance with 52.212-1(f) and will not be evaluated.
