The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 17, plans to award a firm fixed price, sole source contract to Petnet Solutions, Inc. for the provision of the brand name F-18 Axumin Fluciclovine service. This contract is being awarded under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) because only Petnet Solutions, Inc. is able to provide the proprietary F-18 Axumin Fluciclovine product at the required quality level. The service is intended to support the Nuclear Medicine Department at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System, which utilizes PET/CT technology that requires compatibility with this specific brand. Substituting any other manufacturer could compromise interoperability and increase government costs. The contract requires delivery of the F-18 Axumin Fluciclovine service within 60 days from the award date, with the anticipated award date being September 19, 2018. While this is a sole source acquisition, the agency invites interested and capable parties to submit technical data within 14 calendar days of the notice posting (by October 12, 2018). This submission may be considered by the agency, though telephone inquiries will not be entertained. The contracting office is located in San Antonio, TX, and the solicitation is associated with NAICS code 339113.
