The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Acquisition Center is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify potential suppliers for a national mandatory requirement contract involving Compression Bandage Systems and Woven Gauze Sponges. This contract will serve multiple federal healthcare agencies, including the VA, Department of Defense, Indian Health Service, Bureau of Prisons, and Federal Health Care Center. The procurement focuses on two main product groups: four-layer compression bandage systems (both latex-free and non-latex versions) and various sizes and types of woven gauze sponges. Offers are not currently being solicited, and no contract will be awarded based solely on this request; it is strictly for information and planning. Suppliers must meet specific requirements such as providing unique Global Trade Item Numbers (GTIN) or Universal Product Codes (UPC), offering manufacturer commitment letters if not the original producer, and having business-to-business agreements with Pharmaceutical Prime Vendors for distribution. The contract anticipates award(s) on either a combined or separate basis for each product group, with vendors required to price for a base year plus up to four option years to promote long-term supply continuity. Estimated annual quantities are detailed for each product variant, and suppliers must confirm their ability to start delivering within 60 days of contract award. The notice also seeks information on small business status, including veteran-owned designations and manufacturing origin. Responses assist in shaping future solicitations and ensuring competitive, cost-effective procurement below Federal Supply Schedule or open market prices.
