65--GENTLEMAX PRO SURGICAL LASER

The US Army Healthcare Acquisition Activity , Medical Command, Southern Region Contracting Office intends to award a sole source firm fixed price procurement under the authority of FAR 12.203 to Candela Corporation, 530 Boston Post Road, Wayland, MA 01778-1833 to provide a Laser, Therapeutic Surgical Unit, GentleMax 755/1064 Laser W/DCD, Gentlemax 1 yr Warranty, S&H, Med Laser, Med Best Way for GentleMax Pro Laser System. The GentleMax Pro Laser System will be installed at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, KY. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 (a) (2) (iii) and 6.302-1(b) (2) the Government will negotiate directly with Candela Corporation for this service. The proposed contract action is for a Laser, Therapeutic Surgical Unit for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 6.302. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for information only.
