PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE The National Acquisition Center will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-797N-12-R-0002 for the Department of Veterans Affairs for Intraocular Lenses (IOLs). VA procures approximately 58,543 Intraocular Lenses annually. The contract period will be for one base year plus four one-year option periods. Multiple awards may result from this solicitation. The Intraocular Lenses are being procured on an unrestricted basis. If the offeror is not the manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Solicitation No VA-797N-12-R-0002 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about May 29, 2012 with a closing date of 30 days from the solicitation issuance date. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339113. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
