The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 6, plans to enter into a sole source procurement agreement with 1st American Medical Incorporated for the acquisition and installation of Steris brand Harmony operating room lights and booms. This contract will supply these items exclusively to the VA Medical Center located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The procurement will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price contract under the NAICS Code 339113, reflecting that only one responsible source is available to fulfill the agency’s specific needs. The authority for this sole source acquisition is grounded in statutory and regulatory provisions that allow non-competitive negotiations when only one source can meet the government’s minimum requirements. Although this notice is not a solicitation for competitive proposals, interested parties may submit their qualifications by a specified deadline if they believe they can meet the requirements. The VA retains full discretion to proceed without competition based on the responses received.
