FISC Norfolk Detachment Phila intends to solicit under the authority of section 4202 of the clinger cohen act of 1996 as implemented by FAR 13.501 (a), on a sole source small business set aside basis with One Lamdba of Canoga Park CA for the acquisition of a special reverse SSO bead panel and accompanying computer software. This equipment will be used on existing One Lamdba equipment at the Naval Medical Research Center Silver Springs, MD in their continuing study of Human Leucocytes Antigen (HLA). One Lamdba is the only known firm capable of providing the required material. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code and size standard for this acquisition effort is 33911 w/ 500 employees. A firm fixed price supply contract is the expected result of this acquisition effort. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The RFQ for this effort is expected to be posted to the NECO website on or before 16 Aug 07
