MEDCOM, Western Regional Contracting Office, Tacoma, Washington, intends to award a firm fixed price contract to; Medtronic Sofamor Danek USA, Inc, in the amount of $57,108.00 (base +3 years) for a Maintenance /Service Agreement in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1. This agreement is maintenance of the Stereotactic System, Otorhinolaryngology MDL Fusion located at Madigan Healthcare System, FT Lewis, WA. Service Period of Performance is: 01 Feb. 2011 through 31 Jan. 2012, with (3) Option years ending 31 Jan. 2015 (if exercised). The maintenance agreement for the Stereotactic System, Otorhinolaryngology MDL Fusion is under proprietary rights by the manufacturer Medtronic Sofamor Danek USA, Inc and they are the only authorized company to provide maintenance and repair services for this system. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to future requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, information received within forty-five days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a future competitive procurement.
