The Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) plans to negotiate a sole source contract with Manus Medical, LLC to supply custom procedure trays for the Richmond VA Medical Center's Operating Room. These trays consist of individually selected components tailored to specific procedures at the facility and are assembled, sterilized, and shipped by Manus Medical. Due to the lead time required—approximately two to three months—to transition to a new manufacturer or distributor, Manus Medical remains uniquely positioned to meet the current needs. The Richmond VAMC utilizes twenty-nine different trays covering a variety of surgical specialties, including arthroscopy, open heart, vascular, hip, angio, ophthalmologic, knee, and ear surgeries. This procurement is intended as a short-term order while a competitive long-term acquisition is developed, with a future competitive delivery contract anticipated under solicitation number VA246-15-R-1101. Although this notice does not request competitive proposals, other capable sources are invited to submit capability statements by the specified deadline. The decision to proceed without competition is at the sole discretion of the government. No telephone inquiries are accepted, and responses must be emailed as directed. This contract falls under NAICS code 339113, related to medical equipment manufacturing.
