The U.S. Army Medical Command's Western Regional Contracting Office in Tacoma, Washington, plans to award a sole source contract worth $65,000 to Globus Medical Inc. for spinal implant products to be used at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. This decision is based on a surgeon’s determination that Globus Medical’s products best meet the specific medical needs and requirements of the patients. All products purchased under this contract must be FDA-approved and tailored to meet these clinical specifications. The procurement will follow FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the sole source award is justified under FAR 6.302-1, allowing the government to negotiate exclusively with one supplier. While this notice represents a sole source intent rather than a solicitation, other vendors interested in supplying spinal implant products may submit documentation demonstrating their products’ capabilities and compliance with the stated requirements for consideration in future acquisitions. Interested parties should send their information to the designated purchasing agent via email only, as phone or fax inquiries will not be accepted. The procurement aligns with the NAICS code 339113, which covers surgical appliance and supplies manufacturing.
