65-- Notice of Intent for Sole Source for Various Implants products

Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Western Regional Contracting Office(WRCO), Tacoma, WA, intends to issue a sole source award to Arthrocare Medical Corporation in the amount of $150,000.00 to purchase Various Implant products for the Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson, CO.. The Surgeon shall make the determination at time of surgery that these products will best meet the patients' specific medical needs/requirements. ALL PRODUCTS MUST BE FDA APPROVED and meet the surgeons' and the patients' specific medical needs/requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for proposal and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications.
