The U.S. Army Medical Command's Western Regional Contracting Office plans to award a sole source contract to Beacon Point Associates, an authorized distributor for Depuy Synthes, valued at approximately $70,000. This contract is intended to procure various FDA-approved surgical implants, products, and supplies tailored for patient-specific surgeries at Madigan Army Medical Center. The selection of these products will be made by surgeons based on individual patient needs. The need for this sole source arrangement arises because Depuy Synthes USA is undergoing administrative changes including a Cage Code update, name change, and novation, which temporarily prevents them from directly supplying the government until their registration is updated. This procurement will follow the Federal Acquisition Regulation Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13. Although this notice is not a solicitation, other firms with capabilities to provide similar products may submit supporting documentation to be considered for future acquisitions. Communication regarding the contract is to be conducted exclusively via email with the designated purchasing agent, Ruby Mejias, and no phone or fax inquiries will be accepted. This approach ensures continuity in supplying critical surgical materials while administrative updates for the primary supplier are in progress.
