SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT: Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source to Abbott Molecular, Inc. 1300 E Touhy Ave. Des Plaines IL, 60018-3315 for the purchase of PLEX-ID Clean-up Reagent Kits (04N77-01), PLEX-ID Microparticles and Cassette Kits (04N077-02), and PLEX-ID Analyzer Check Plates (03N48-61) for use with a Abbott Molecular PLEX-ID Analyzer System. Failure to purchase the identified items would result in the following: 1) voiding the manufacturer's warranty of the analyzer system, and 2) jeopardizing the consistency of future test results. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
