Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, Kentucky has a requirement for one (01) Total Knee Surgical Kit for a surgery scheduled 25 May 2010. The Government intends to award a sole source purchase order for this requirement. The suggested contractor is Howmedica Osteonics Corp., a large business. Instant procurement is a patient specific one time buy and is not available for competition. The required item is an invasive device, prescribed by the patients physician/surgeon and determined by the physician to be best suited to meet the medical, health and life-style needs of the specific patient for whom it is required.
