This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS), Tucson, AZ 85723 intends to post a solicitation for three (3) Open Access Towers/Columns on Federal Business Opportunities. The VISN 18 Network Contracting Activity is planning to award a firm fixed-price contract for the products below (Brand Name or Equal). The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. These supplies/equipment will be installed during the Hem Oncology construction project that is currently in progress at the SAVAHCS facility. The main purpose of these towers/columns is to provide normal and emergency electrical power, medical air, oxygen and vacuum in an area near the patient. This eliminates the need for extension cords and long vacuum lines which increases working space and provides a hazard free environment for our Veterans. Market research has been conducted it has been determined to provide the solicitation to full and open competition without any set-asides; however, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) will be evaluated more favorably.
