The VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN, Chemistry Laboratory has a requirement for Tri-level Liquid Controls, for multiple blood and urine chemistry and immunochemistry tests to be used on multiple laboratory analyzers. Controls required include: Cardiac Markers, Immunochemistry, and Urine Chemistry. The VAMC has previously tested and used Liquichek controls as manufactured by Bio-Rad Diagnostics Laboratories, Hercules, California. The VAMC Minneapolis, MN, will accept Liquichek or equal products. Controls must have a minimum of 30 day stability after opening of vial and must be of a human CSF based origin, bovine based controls are not acceptable.
