36C25021Q0490 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Control Units The Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd Cleveland, OH 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.1061(b)(1)-Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 339113 with a small business size standard of 750. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Accessibility Services, Inc. 6241 S Tex Pt., FL 34448. SCI at the Cleveland VA Medical center requires fifty eight (58) new control units as direct replacements of the AutonoME units currently in place. Units shall include a visual interface, integration hardware and software, sip/puff system to aide in the patient s navigation of the system, the ability for patient to use different methods to be able to contact nurse, control privacy and communication functions around them, and the ability for patient to navigate television. All systems and software must be compatible with the Hill-Rom Centrella smart beds currently in use. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Monday March 21, 2021 at 2pm. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. - All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
