Due to sole source selection as prescribed by the Veteran s prescribing clinician, no additional market research has been performed. In compliance with FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B), only one awardee can provide the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services ordered are unique or highly specialized. Prosthetic limb components are specified by the clinical team to meet the unique and comprehensive needs of each Veteran with amputation. Pricing is determined to be fair and reasonable based on comparison to Medicare allowable rates less 10% discount.
