SPECIAL NOTICE SUBJECT: Intent to Sole Source Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East, Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract to Conmed Surgical Products, 525 French Road, Utica, NY 13502. The purpose of this sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract is to supply two (2) Conmed True HD 3MOS Camera Head-Eyecup and two (2) Autoclavable Light Guide 5MM X 3M (see table below) to the VA located at Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, NY, 12208-3410. This is a BRAND NAME ONLY procurement in accordance with FAR part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), and by authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). This is system is used in the Surgical Services department. Per market research Lovell Government Services is the only known vendor/provider currently under GSA contract and CONMED is the only manufacturer and has the equipment as proprietary rights.
