INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to STERIS CORPORATION. under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(b): "Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The proposed procurement is for the purchase and installaion of Steris AMSCO 250LS Autoclave Steam Sterilizer for the New Jersey VA Healthcare System, East Orange Medical Center. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339113 and the size standard is 750 employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider responses received by 1:00pm Eastern on August 12, 2020. Inquiries will only be accepted via email contact@example.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
