This market research notice is being conducted by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 VHA Regional Procurement Office-West (RPOW) 5441 Babcock Road Medical Center. 302 San Antonio TX 78240 for the procurement for Transport Stretchers for the GI care area.  Background and Requirement: Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, 1901 S. 1st Street, Temple, TX, is seeking to update and replace Transport Stretchers in the ED and Transport areas that have reached their end of life (EOL). These stretchers are compatible with the current Power Loads used in the Transport Vans. Nursing Service is requesting to purchase 16 Transport Stretchers for the GI Care Area. Provide all necessary labor, materials, and services to perform the following work at Olin E. Teague Medical Center OR GI Care Area: Stretcher, Transport (and accessories) XPS siderails Quad wheel/steer-lock XPS knee Gatch bolster mattress One lithium-ion battery Compatibility with Power-LOAD powered cot fastener and Performance-LOAD manual fastener IV pole, 3-stage, PR O2 bottle holder, head section X-restraint Head end storage flat Knee Gatch/Trendelenburg Equipment hook TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS a. Shipping, Installation/Assembly: Equipment assembly will be completed by the facility, as well as trash removal. Shipping and receipt of equipment is estimated 120 days from award. 4. This equipment must be able to perform the following functions for all the SPECIFIC INSTRUMENT REQUIRED: Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, Stretcher, Transport. 5. If this is an item your business can provide, please respond to this Sources Sought Notice by 10:00 AM Central Time on Thursday Monday 23 April 2026. 6. The intent of this notice is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g. set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post soon.  Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following:    Where is the item manufactured, the VA is interested in procuring items manufactured in the United States.
