SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Censis Technologies, Inc. Sterile Processing Services - CensiTrac Instrument Tracking System Department of Veterans Affairs, Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) on behalf of the VA Northern California Health Care System for the activation of the new Redding Outpatient Clinic, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole-source basis with Censis Technologies, 830 Crescent Centre Dr. Ste. 610, Franklin, TN, under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-(b) for a CensiTrac Instrument Tracking System (ITS). CensiTrac is the standard ITS in use at medical centers throughout the VA. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339113 Surgical Appliances and Supplies Manufacturing, with a size standard of 750 employees. The anticipated timeframe for award is September 2020. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. No solicitation package will be issued. See attached for salient characteristics. Any responsible source may submit a quotation which may be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. All information submitted should support the respondent s capability to provide the items and that those items will meet the Government s technical requirements. To ensure compliance with VA s gray market requirements for medical equipment, respondents must document in their response that they are the OEM or an OEM-authorized distributor. The Government is under no obligation to reimburse respondents cost for responding to this notice. All documents submitted by respondents are furnished to the Government at no cost or obligation. Respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Firms may register with SAM at https://www.sam.gov. All responses received by the due date and time will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
