The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 2 plans to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Midmark for the replacement of existing Midmark exam tables and the removal of the current equipment at the Buffalo VAMC. This procurement is limited to Midmark brand tables to ensure standardization and compatibility with the existing units. The decision to pursue a sole source acquisition is in accordance with federal regulations due to the unique nature of the requirement, and Midmark’s existing Federal Supply Schedule contract pricing has been determined to be fair and reasonable. Market research confirmed that Midmark’s pricing is 10 to 15 percent lower than that of its authorized dealers. No solicitation package will be issued for this notice, which is not a request for competitive quotes, but interested parties may express their interest and capability by emailing the designated contracting officer by the specified deadline. Submissions will not be compensated, and any determination not to compete further remains solely at the government's discretion. The procurement falls under NAICS code 339113, with a size standard of 750 employees, and the service will be performed under the auspices of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Network Contract Office 2 based in Albany, NY.
