THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), NCO 08- is conducting a market research survey to identify potential qualified sources capable of providing Mental Health Residential Bedroom Furniture located at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System campus, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, Florida 33744, at a firm fixed price. BACKGROUND: Bay Pines VA Health Care System is undergoing a major reorganization of its Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP) to enhance access to care for women Veterans and homeless Veterans. Specifically: A new Women's Residential Unit is being created by converting an underutilized acute psychiatry unit. A new Compensated Work Therapy Transitional Residence (CWT-TR) program is being established to provide transitional housing and vocational rehabilitation support for homeless Veterans. Furniture is required to furnish patient bedrooms and support living conditions for mental health patients residing at Bay Pines during treatment. All furniture must meet the safety, durability, ligature-resistance, and cleanability standards appropriate for a mental health/behavioral health inpatient setting.
