The Department of Veterans Affairs, 101 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, VA intends to award a firm fixed price, sole source IDC to Hologic, Inc. The purpose of the order is to obtain supplies and services to support the Panther Fusion . This purchase is for a commercial item/service and will be made using FAR 16. Other than full and open competition is authorized pursuant to FAR 6.003. The firmware in the Panther system is necessary for running the Aptima Assays and is unique to Hologic. The system is available commercially and will continue to satisfy the requirement. Limited distribution and support capabilities are exclusive to OEM. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, interested vendors may submit a narrative describing their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort via e-mail to Kim Pauley, Contract Specialist, contact@example.gov no later than 11:00 AM EST on August 18, 2021.
