The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded a limited source, Firm-Fixed-Price Delivery Order with Abbott Laboratories. The procurement is for Architect i2000 Analyzer HIV/HCV Reagent Testing and consumables in the laboratory for Portland VA Healthcare System located in Portland, OR. This is a FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) limited source justification. Only one responsible source and no other requirement will satisfy the needs of the Government. It was determined that the needed items are only available from Abbott Laboratories, who is the sole manufacturer and sole distributor.
