Sole Source. The United States Army Contracting Agency Southern Region, Yuma Directorate, Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Space Electronics, LLC, 81 Fuller Way, Berlin, CT 06037-1540. This contract will be for the procurement of Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001: Unit of Issue: Each, Quantity: 1, Description: #GB550AX MOI Inertia Measurement, CLIN 0002: Unit of Issue: Each, Quantity: 1, Description: WCG-100C Dual-Axis Weight & Center Gravity Instrument, CLIN 0003: Unit of Issue: Each, Quantity: 1, Description: #PO1300, Artillery Projectile Dynamic Unbalance Measuring Instrument. USAYPG currently has Space Electronics equipment used for dynamic measurement testingat the Metrology and Simulation Division and similar instrumentation is needed to maintain compatibility in form, fit and function with the existing equipment. Space Electronics has proprietary data rights on the software/hardware and the same equipment is needed to maintain consistency in the data output. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct theirown research regarding the specifications of the above listed item. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these supplies, then you must respond by COB 21 April 2008.
