The Intramural Research Program (IRP), National Institute on Aging (NIA), National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a sole source purchase to GE HEALTHCARE BIO-SCIENCES CORP, 800 Centennial Ave, Piscataway, NJ 08855-1327; NAICS CODE 541711 and the size standard is $500. The vendor will supply AKTA Purifier UPC 10 system with accessories to be used in the Laboratory of molecular Gerontology. This system will be used to purify biologically active biomolecules from different starting materials. The only system that is similar to this is the Bio-Rad BioLogic DuoFlow F10, which does not provide certain specifications required by the lab. This notice may represent the only official notice. This is a Simplified Acquisition with the estimated value of less than $100,000.00 threshold. This acquisition is being procured under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy this agency?s requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
