THE PURPOSE OF THIS MODIFICATION IS TO CORRECT THE RESPONSE DATE FROM 01/04/2008 TO 12/27/2007 AND TO ADD THE PLACE OF CONTRACTOR PERFORMANCE ADDRESS. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division intends to contract on a SOLE SOURCE basis with PERKINELMER of Shelton, CT for the procurement of services for the following equipment: DSC7 Differential Scanning Calorimeter with TAC7 Controller, Series 410 Liquid Chromatography Pump, Optima4300DV ICP Spectrometer, Software, and Cooling System, AA Spectrometer, AS800 Autosampler, and Cooling System, UV/VIS Spectrometer System in support of the Propulsion and Power fuels and lubricants programs that are used for fuel and lubricant fleet service problem resolution for all Naval Air Platforms under NAICS code 334516. Specifically, PerkinElmer is the only company that has the equipment, parts, and expertise to service the equipment. There are many unique aspects of running the equipment and software which must be understood, and PerkinElmer holds proprietary rights to the software. No RFP is available for competitive bidding; however, interested parties may submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement, to include descriptive literature, within 3 days of this announcement to the contact person listed above.
