66--NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Fully Automated Rotary Micotome

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7 located in Charleston, SC intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced contract to Government Scientific Source, Inc., 12351 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA 20191-3415. Government Scientific Source, Inc. will provide Leica Biosystems Fully Automated Rotary Microtome System to the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29401-5703. This requirement will be sole sourced due to the fact that Government Scientific Source, Inc. is the exclusive veteran owned, small business distributor for Leica Biosystems North America. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 339113 Surgical Appliance & Supplies Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 750 Employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 3:00 P.M. EST, July 26, 2017 to: contact@example.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
