The Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base plans to award a sole source procurement to FLIR Systems Inc. for two commercial items critical to the Indigo Video Processing System used in the Benefield Anechoic Chamber, Electronic Warfare Group. The contract covers one 1-meter InSb lens with a 3.0-5.0 micron bandpass and f/4.0 bayonet mount optical interface, designed to complement existing FLIR laboratory cameras by providing higher performance imagery without requiring any modifications to cameras or optics. Additionally, the contract includes a refurbished high-speed data recorder housed in a Supermicro HSDR Case SC742s-600B, capable of interfacing with the infrared cameras and supporting proprietary thermographic analysis software unique to FLIR Systems. This particular data recorder is essential as it is the only unit compatible with both the existing camera hardware and specialized software. The procurement will be awarded under a sole source justification but remains open for responses from other interested parties who can demonstrate their capability to meet the requirements. Any potential suppliers must submit their information by the specified deadline to be considered for a competitive procurement. If no adequate responses are received by the deadline, the Air Force will proceed with awarding the sole source contract to FLIR Systems Inc. Delivery is expected within eight weeks after order receipt, with shipping terms FOB Destination. The contact point for this procurement is Terence D. Vickers, who is managing the evaluation process of any submitted proposals.
