NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support is issuing a notice of intent to sole source a contract for the evaluation, repair, and modification of underwater rodmeters, specifically NIIN 006896502. Due to a lack of necessary technical data to perform these services through other means, the government intends to negotiate exclusively with The Dewey Electronics Corporation under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. While the government is moving toward a sole source award, responsible sources may submit capability statements within 15 days of publication for consideration. The final decision to compete the contract remains at the government's discretion. Interested parties should note that source approval is required, and the government will not delay the award process while pending approval for new sources.

Request for Information: Additive Manufacturing
Solicitation # N0010427RZ058
The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support is conducting market research through Request for Information N0010427RZ058 to identify qualified sources capable of designing, producing, and delivering piece part components or entire assemblies using additive manufacturing methods. The government is specifically interested in vendors who can meet rigorous manufacturing, material, performance, testing, and quality assurance requirements. While the current focus is on a candidate list of National Item Identification Numbers for valves, actuators, and manifolds, the government anticipates that Level I and SUBSAFE items may become eligible for additive manufacturing in the future. Interested businesses must provide detailed administrative data, descriptions of their manufacturing capabilities, facility certifications such as ISO 9001 or AS9100, and evidence of past performance with similar military or commercial hardware. Additionally, the government is soliciting industry feedback on the development of objective evaluation criteria and the structuring of performance-based incentives for future Firm-Fixed-Price contracts. All produced components must be fully interchangeable with traditionally manufactured equivalents and strictly adhere to the baselines established in Project Peculiar Document 802-8436658. Responses are due by October 22, 2026.
