66--Special Notice

USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to make contract award pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106, Soliciting Competition, Evaluation of Quotations or Offers, Award and Documentation, for the purposes of providing written consent and approval to award Brand Name Trimble navigation products. The ERDC's Environmental Laboratory (EL) requires two 6000 series Trimble GeoXH Centimeter Edition GPS units shipped to Vicksburg, MS. These particular units are compatible with ERDC's current software and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data entry and analysis system. Only the 6000 Series Trimble GeoXH Centimeter Edition units can meet the technical specifications for accuracy and also meet the compatibility requirements with the existing software, Trimble GPScorrect, Trimble Terrasync software, Trimble Pathfinder Office software. The Government intends to procure from only one brand name under the authority of FAR 13.106, Soliciting Competition, Evaluation of Quotations or Offers, Award and Documentation. This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures per FAR 13. Interested parties may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 p.m. CST on Friday, September 13, 2013. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
