Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to place on a Sole Source basis, a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order to Kollmorgen Corporation, Northampton, MA 01060 for the purchase of thirty (30) Type 8K and 8M Coupling Rings (P/N 8211691) – SUBSAFE REQUIREMENT. Kollmorgen Corporation was the vendor under NUWCDIVNPT production Contract N66604-05-C-0572 for complete Periscope Systems. The coupling rings were previously procured as part of the complete system, but now individual units are required for repairs to the Type 8K and Type 8M Periscopes. Kollmorgen Corporation is the only SUBSAFE certified contractor approved to manufacture these items for the Type 8 systems. This acquisition will be processed using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. NAICS Code 333314, size standard 500 employees. Delivery required 12 months from date of Purchase Order award. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement which will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
