The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), seeks to procure an upgrade package for an existing Zeiss Axioimager Z1 upright microscope, model LSM510 V4.0. The upgrade includes a scanning module with two confocal detectors and various laser modules covering multiple wavelengths, equipped with quick, continuous intensity attenuation through an AOTF system. The system will also incorporate real-time electronics for flexible scanning, comprehensive control software compatible with existing government microscope stands, and components such as motorized filter wheels, galvanometer mirrors for precise beam positioning, a computer-controlled spatial filter, and a transmitted photomultiplier tube for brightfield or differential interference contrast imaging. Additionally, the package requires specific connectivity solutions including a can cable connector for the LSM ECU box and a conversion cable compatible with 3.5/4.0 generation Pascal systems, allowing integration with the existing microscope infrastructure. Delivery and installation are to be completed within two days at a mutually agreed date. While this is not a solicitation for competitive proposals, other interested parties may submit capability statements demonstrating their ability to meet these requirements. Complete submissions must be received by the stated deadline, with all inquiries directed to the designated purchasing agent.
