The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) issued this Request for Information (RFI) and sources sought notice to gather market information and identify qualified suppliers capable of providing various types of eyeglasses—such as single vision, bifocal, trifocal, oversized, tinted, photochromatic, and progressive lenses made from plastic, polycarbonate, or glass—along with related accessories. The contract, intended as an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (ID-IQ) firm fixed price agreement, would serve multiple VA healthcare facilities across Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico, including long-established regional VA healthcare systems. This RFI is solely for planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or a promise of contract award. Interested vendors are asked to provide detailed information about their company size classification, manufacturing status, contractual capabilities, pricing, and ability to fulfill orders on a per-patient basis through various delivery methods. Additional inquiry points include acceptance of government credit cards, availability of licensed Dispensing Opticians at VA sites, and logistical capacity to serve all specified locations. Responses must be submitted by a specified deadline via email and will inform the VA’s acquisition strategy. Any future solicitation will be announced separately, and responses to this RFI will not be considered binding offers or automatically qualify responders for any prospective bid.
