Notice of Intent and Brand Name. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21 intends to solicit and negotiate with Polymedco, Inc. for supplies use for Automated Immunochemical Fecal Occult Blood (iFOBT) testing for use with current Polymedco OC Auto Micro 80 equipment currently installed at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHS), 6900 North Pecos Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89086 and VA NORTHERN CALIFORNA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (VANCHCS), 10535 Hospital Way, Mather, CA 95655. Determination of this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized; and, FAR 8.405-6(b)(1) brand name. It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the only provider of the Polymedco OC Auto Micro 80 equipment and supplies; and is the only manufacturer that can meet the agency s needs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can provide Polymedco OC Auto Micro 80 equipment and supplies and support services may give written notice to contact@example.gov by 23:59 hours PST on 21 August 2020. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The applicable NAICS Code is 325413 and the size standard is 1250 Employees. No telephone requests will be accepted.
