Full Description

NON-FIRING, M4 STYLE INERT TRAINER WEAPON (FULL BLACK FURNITURE) - The trainer weapon must be a 1:1 scale replica of the M4 style rifles, carbines and their variants, that look, feel and operate like a full-functioning firearm, but not made to fire live ammunition or modified to fire live ammunition. Barrels are to be drilled with a .212 size bore and no chamber. Bolt carriers shall not accept standard bolts. Lower receivers will have no hammers and a larger hole will be drilled so the standard hole cannot be drilled for a hammer. The trigger shall be operable, and the trigger hole shall be moved out of place to make it impossible to make the lower fuction for live fire. The pockets for other fire control components in the lower receivers shall be absent or of an alternate dimension. The trainer weapon shall be able to be field stripped in the manner of a standard M4 rifle or carbine. Bolts will be designed so that they can be stripped and removed for simulated PMCS checks and cleaning. Buffer spring assemblies shall be removable. Barrels shall be 16" long and contoured, designed so that they can be swabbed with a cleaning rod to allow for simulated cleaning and maintenance. The inert trainer shall have A2 forged receivers with black hard anodizing, A2 top uppers, 16" heavy contour barrel, M4 contoured handguards, Collapsible M4 buttstock with six stop points, militry black buttstock, pistol grap and handguard. It shall be 39.5 inches in length and weigh eight (8) pounds. Vendor MUST have a verification letter from The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) that verifies that it is a "prop gun" and does not meet the definition of a firearm.
