69--NOTICE OF INTENT TO ACQUIRE OPEN MARKET ITEMS UNDER A GSA SCHEDULE PURCHASE

The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) is set to acquire new software and hardware, along with installation and configuration services, to replace the current Physical Security Component (PSC) of the Instrumentation System at the National Training Center (NTC) in Fort Irwin, California. This acquisition will be executed under a Federal Supply Schedule task order in accordance with FAR Part 8.4, following a publicly posted Notice of Intent. The procurement includes one rack-mounted PowerEdge R210 II server equipped with an Intel Pentium G850 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 1TB SATA hard drive, DVD-RW drive, and Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition with 5 Client Access Licenses (CALs), along with a rail kit and a three-year next business day warranty. In addition, the order will feature four required site service agreements and three onsite training sessions for end users. The contracting officer has concluded that the inclusion of these specific line items on the task order best meets the government’s needs, having received competitive quotes and determined the pricing to be fair and reasonable for the open market portion. It is important to note that this Notice of Intent is not a solicitation for quotations or offers, and oral communications are not acceptable responses. The contract supports the Department of Defense's efforts to ensure enhanced physical security at the NTC by upgrading critical infrastructure components through a streamlined acquisition process under the GSA schedule.
